SavFest 2021

There is so much to say about this awesome weekend and we just can't find the right words that do it justice. We had the best quality bands over the 2 days playing their absolute hearts out. Some of them had not played live for over 18 months due to lockdowns but you just could not tell. They all put 100% into their sets. They were supported by 2 incredible 'miracle worker' sound engineers and an errant smoke machine and cheered on by a fantastic crowd. 2 of our committee members got well and truly stuck in with absolutely everything, Sal and Mark we couldn't have done without you.

Please welcome the one and only Pete K Mally to the SavFest family, our MC for the weekend who was outstanding, find out more about him here - every festival should have him. He was like a duracell bunny from the start of the day to the very end on both days, possible helped along by the supply of Mead from the lovely ladies at Dragonfly and Co. who sold their gorgeous hand made wax melts, diffusers and bracelets. These products were all especially crafted for us at Ian's Chain, check them out here and they are donating 25% of sales back to us, Laura and Stacey we cannot thank you enough.

Those that came along will also have seen the fabulous Mark with his range of great products from Dilligaf, we were already a fan but even more so now. Being a rock DJ himself, Mark had a blast and set himself up facing the indoor stage. The products are great quality and you can see them here

We had some great photography done over the course of the 2 days and could not possibly choose which ones to share here, so we've shared our very own mascot Humphrey who rocked out on the indoor stage for the whole weekend. I think he made a few new friends.

Another thanks goes to the gang at NWOCR, they really embraced the whole weekend and donated 2 of their CD's which made it into the top 10 and is a must buy. As we had a lot of the bands playing who feature on this double CD, we had them signed and auctioned off on the Saturday. NWOCR are a great bunch of people who really got what we were doing. Check them out here

From the comments we received on the days and afterwards, we know that everyone had a blast and we salute The Victoria Bikers Pub in Coalville for allowing us to take over for 2 days. John is a legend and the bar staff are fantastic to work with, very entertaining especially the pair in the pink tutus!

In conclusion, we were thankful, blown away, humbled, amazed, grateful, knackered but we'll do it all again next year. Who's in?
